My Journey with Beginning of Life (BGL): Where I’m At and What’s Next

For the past while, I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into developing Beginning of Life (BGL), a non-profit organization that’s close to my heart and, I believe, has the potential to make a real difference. BGL is a unique venture that combines vehicle maintenance with mental health awareness, two areas that might seem unrelated at first but are deeply connected when you think about the stress and uncertainty car troubles can bring into someone’s life. Here’s a rundown of what I’ve been working on and where the project stands today.

What I’ve Been Working On

BGL is more than just a concept—it’s a fully fleshed-out vision with a detailed business plan that I’ve been crafting. Here are the key pieces I’ve been building:

  • Mission and Vision: BGL aims to offer free vehicle inspections along the West Coast, from San Diego to Bellingham, while sparking conversations about mental well-being. The idea is simple but powerful: by easing the burden of vehicle maintenance, we open the door to supporting people’s emotional health.
  • Innovative Technology: I’ve integrated Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV) blockchain technology into the plan to ensure transparency and efficiency. This powers a tokenized economy within our platform, Card Dexter’s, which connects skilled professionals—like mechanics and mental health experts—with people who need their help.
  • A Holistic Ecosystem: BGL isn’t just about inspections. It’s a network of initiatives:
    • Card Dexter’s: A blockchain-based platform for networking professionals and creating a trusted community.
    • Blockchain Knockout: An interactive game to promote our services at events in a fun, engaging way.
    • Champion of Chappie: An annual desert race near Shasta Dam to raise funds and awareness for mental health.
  • Funding Strategy: I’ve outlined a goal to raise $5 million in the first year through donations, grants, partnerships, and blockchain-based revenue streams. It’s ambitious, but I believe it’s achievable with the right support.
  • Team Building: Right now, it’s my wife (our treasurer, with an accounting degree) and me (a certified mechanic with three business degrees on the way). We’re actively seeking board members and advisors with expertise in non-profits, mental health, automotive regulations, and legal matters to round out our leadership.

Current Stage

BGL is in the planning and development phase. The business plan is comprehensive—covering everything from market analysis to financial projections—and it’s ready to be shared with potential supporters. I’ve set some key milestones to bring this vision to life:

  • January 2026: Launch BGL and Card Dexter’s simultaneously, with a working app to onboard users.
  • May 2026: Kick off the first Champion of Chappie race and debut Blockchain Knockout at public events.

Right now, I’m focused on refining the plan, building the team, and laying the groundwork for funding. It’s an exciting time—everything’s in place to start turning this dream into reality, but there’s still plenty of work ahead to make it happen.

What’s Next

The next steps are all about execution:

  • Finalizing the legal and financial setup (waiting on SEC crypto regulations).
  • Recruiting a strong board and advisors.
  • Securing initial funding to hit that $5 million goal.
  • Starting a promotional road trip along the West Coast to spread the word, partnering with auto parts stores like O’Reilly’s and NAPA.

It’s a big undertaking, but I’m driven by my own experiences with mental health challenges and a passion for helping others through practical support and advocacy.

I’m thrilled with how far BGL has come and can’t wait to see it take off. If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts—or better yet, get you involved! Stay tuned for more updates as we gear up for the launch.
